I’m a lithuanian freelance illustrator & motion designer based in Viborg, Denmark.
I graduated from the Audiovisual Art program at Siauliai University, Lithuania, with the dream to tell stories through illustration and animation. In 2013 I attended the Open Workshop artist residency program in Viborg where I created the project “Story Cards” – postcards to make people laugh, think and feel good. I’ve been living in Viborg since then.
At the end of 2018 I launched my one-woman company Ruta Babelyte Illustration. So far I’ve been making illustrations for apps, posters, animation as well as rigging and animating 2D characters for explainers, and working as a color and shadow artist on the Disney TV series “Big Hero 6”.
